double exposed!

I have recently started shooting with 35mm film again. I love the excitment of not knowing how your pictures are going to come out, the anticipation of seeing what sort of 'prize' you're going to get when you open the envelope.

Well, I can tell you that I was really happy with what developed on these double exposured pictures I made from two very different weekends. One weekend was in New York and the other was at Second Beach in Newport. This one above is one of my favorites. I took 2 exposures of 2 different seagulls. The small one looks see-through, but the larger one is more prominent. I don't know the mechanics of why they are both not see through. I just know that I like the way it looks!

This one is of two different bike taxis going in opposite directions. I like how one of the men noticed that I was photographing him and he's looking straight at the camera!

Below is another cool one of some seagulls.
The guy in front is see-through.

Men at work below.

New York is such and interesting city. There are so many vast contrasts. Rich/poor, clean/dirty, old/new. Every single time I visit, I find myself more drawn to the city. It is so alive and vibrant and scary and beautiful. The man to the right is picking a cigarette out of the gutter.
This statue is taken from 2 different angles and has morphed into something different.

For the past week now I have been shooting in camera double exposures. One of the perks about my nikon is I can shoot double or tripple exposures.
